Amy Van Dyke joins the Office of the Bishop in the role of Associate to the Bishop for Finance
Amy Van Dyke has accepted the position of Associate the Bishop for Finance and began serving in the new position on August 10.
The Associate to the Bishop for Finance Operations is responsible for leading in areas of accounting, payroll, and Mission Support. Additionally,
- Helps steward the budgeting process with the Bishop and finance committee
- Tends to financial relationships with partners like FreeIndeed, campus ministries, churchwide ministries, and Mission Investment Fund
In sharing the news, Bishop Amy Current said, “Amy brings experience from both private and non-profit sectors including working in congregations. She will step right into this leadership role with her accounting skills and, I am delighted that she is equally eager to learn about and partner in the mission we share in the Southeastern Iowa Synod.
Amy Van Dyke lives in Iowa City with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending her children’s activities, reading, and gardening. Amy loves numbers, accounting, and budgeting. She is excited to use those gifts to help continue the mission of Jesus in her role at the synod.
