Volunteers and Donations Information:
Gifford (Champaign County) – Volunteers are being coordinated through the American Red Cross, Central Illinois Chapter at 217-351-5861. Donations are being coordinated through the United Way of Champaign at 217-352-5151.
Coal City (Grundy County) – Volunteers and donations offers can be coordinated through the Coal City Methodist Church at 815-634-8670 or the call center in Coal City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) call center at 815-518-6051. The call center is open from 8am to 4pm.
City of Washington (Tazewell County) – Volunteers are being coordinated by the Tazewell County Health Department at 309-925-5511. Donations are being accepted by the Washington Chamber of Commerce at Countryside Banquet Center, 659 School St, Washington, IL 61571. Please donate anything a person would need for a hotel stay. Dozer Stadium in Peoria has been established as an additional drop location.

Congregations and individuals can also send donations to Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, with “Illinois Tornado Response” in the memo line. One hundred percent donations will be used to support cleanup, repair, and restoration efforts moving forward from these tornadoes. LSSI is the ELCA Disaster Response agent in Illinois.
