Pare Diocese Vision Trip 2012 Website

Participants returned home safely from the 2012 Vision Trip to the Pare Diocese, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.  Seven members of synod congregations, along with Pastor Eric Carlson, Assistant to the Bishop and synod intern, Kelsey Bausch, participated in a Journey of Accompaniment June 7-21, 2012. The trip included visits to 15 parishes and other institutions of the diocese.  Bishop Burk and Diane Burk joined the group on June 14. Highlights of the trip included worship at Hedaru Parish on June 17. Bishop Burk served as the preacher, and Bishop Charles Mjema presided.  Bishop Burk and Pastor Carlson remained in the diocese to serve as presenters for a Pastor’s Seminar after the Vision Trip participants departed.   A website detailing the journey can be found here.
