St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ottumwa collected food, household supplies, and money on Sunday, September 7th for the residents of Hope House located in Agency, Iowa. Hope House is part of First Resources Corporation and is a residential treatment center for those women struggling with addictions. Women and their children stay at Hope House for the healing of mind, body, and spirit. The residents of Hope House are there to heal from their substance abuse, heal their brains, heal their families and look at jobs so they the can be successful; and so that their children can live a happier life. St. Paul Lutheran Church collected donations at the three Ottumwa Hy-Vee locations on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Members of St. Paul Church were also seen walking the city streets on Sunday morning picking up litter as a part of caring for God’s creation.
