A small but mighty group of 50 Seeds of Faith members from Lisbon, IA, gathered for a short worship service on Sunday morning, September 7th, then divided and conquered to help clean and restore the community for their 2nd Annual God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday.
Our day of service found Seedlings, young and old, in several areas of the community. One crew took to the streets of Lisbon to pick up litter. Another group of Seedlings spent the morning at the Ambulance Center, polishing ambulances inside and out. Several members rolled up their sleeves at Southeast Linn, the food and clothing shelter in Lisbon. They painted and scrubbed to leave the building in beautiful condition. And two Seeds handymen grabbed the power tools and helped build stages for the local community center.
Afterward a very rewarding morning of service, members met back at the church for a potluck fellowship feast. It was a gorgeous day for fulfilling the Lord’s mission to love and serve our neighbors.
