We had a great turn out for our God’s Work. Our Hands. day of service on Saturday, September 6th. There were over 60 people representing the 5 ELCA churches from Burlington (Bethany, Faith, Messiah, Peace & Trinity). We offered 3 different projects for people to participate in; a roadside clean-up of one of the busiest streets in Burlington, creating blessing bags full of cake mix, frosting and party favors taken to the Community Action food pantry, and tying fleece blankets that will be sent over to Africa. We had members from all walks and stages of life participating from a 91 year old women down to 3 & 4 year olds. In total we made 130 blessing bags and 14 blankets and cleaned up a pretty sizable pile of trash.
