There is an online form to invite Bishop Current or assistants, Pastor Erika Uthe, Pastor Dan Kuckuck, or Deacon Jodi Schuman to help celebrate milestones in your congregation, help during times of uncertainty or transition, or just to connect your worshipping community with the synod and churchwide ministries.

About requesting a visit: The staff at the office of the bishop is trying to visit as many of the congregations in the Southeastern Iowa Synod as possible. Please note that a visit from the Office of the Bishop is not a pulpit supply visit. It is an opportunity to learn more about our shared ministry throughout the synod. Please make only one request at a time. Your booking will be confirmed or declined by the office of the Bishop Staff once the request is made, it may take a few days to respond to your request.

Please note: The Office of the Bishop visits congregations and ministries as part of our call to serve with you and through the generous mission support provided by the congregations of the Southeastern Iowa Synod.  Therefore, there is no need for monetary gifts for our visit.  If your congregation chooses to mark our visit with an additional gift (in addition to your mission support), please send it to the Bishop’s fund which is used at the bishop’s discretion for critical needs and to support ministry partners with special requests.

About the request form: Visits can be requested no less than 30 and no more than 365 days in advance. You will see there is a window of time for the request (6:00 am-12:00 pm) this is just a placeholder for the day of the visit. Someone will contact you about worship service times and the visit.
